Barbara Koenitz

Barbara Könitz (born February 18, 1940 in Dortmund ) is a German political scientist .

Life

Könitz studied law , political science and modern history at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the University of Cologne and the University Complutense Madrid (diploma). From 1965 to 1970 she was a research assistant in the Latin American department at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute in Freiburg im Breisgau.

From 1970 to 1977 she was a research assistant at the social science research institute of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Sankt Augustin. In 1978 she became a political education officer for the German Armed Forces Association in Bonn. In 1979 she took on the role of advisor for culture and civic education in the federal office of the Federation of Expellees in Bonn. From 1985 to 1987 she was Secretary General of the Federation of Central Germans in Bonn. In 1988 she became general manager, from 1971 to 1988 she was already a member of the board of the German Atlantic Society in Bonn.

Könitz is a member of the German Society for Foreign Policy . She published u. a. in the Austrian magazine for foreign policy , in the magazine Die Politische Demokratie and in the magazine Europaische Wehrkunde .

Furthermore, she was u. a. Member of the federal committee for security policy of the CDU .
