Barbara Lehmann is a German journalist , novelist and translator .

Life

Barbara Lehmann lives as a freelance writer in Berlin. She writes reports and essays for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and features for radio stations. She translates plays and prose from Russian. In 2008 she worked at the Volksbühne Berlin in the production of the novel Fuck Off, Amerika by Edward Limonow .

As a reporter, she repeatedly traveled to Chechnya a . a. with a cross-border commuter grant from the Robert Bosch Foundation .
