Barbara Ling

Barbara Claire Ling (born August 4, 1952 in Los Angeles ) is an American film architect .

Life

Barbara C. Ling had studied political science at UCLA before she decided to switch to an artistic profession. She trained as a production designer , began in the early 1980s as a light designer for stage shows such as Pee-Wee Herman and, in 1986, presented her first work as chief designer for film with “ True Stories ”.

From her oeuvre stand out above all the gloomy Gotham City -Dekors two Batman - films produced, but are also remarkable their buildings to the Rock Band biography The Doors and the ensemble in a secluded southern -Provinznests in the film Nostalgia Green Tomatoes .
