Nancy Haigh

Nancy Haigh (born before 1968) is an American production designer .

Life

Haigh graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 1968. She began her film career in 1983 as a crew member for Francis Ford Coppola's Rumble Fish . This was followed by some other assistant positions in film productions such as Hitcher, the Highway Killer . In 1988 she first worked as a production designer for Julien Temple's science fiction film Zebo, the Third from the Center of the Stars, with Geena Davis , Jeff Goldblum and Jim Carrey in the lead roles. Two years later, she worked on Miller's Crossing for the first time with Ethan and Joel Coen . Since then, Haigh has worked on most of the Coen brothers' films, and received her first Academy Award nomination for their second collaboration in 1992 . However, that year she was awarded for Barry Levinson's gangster film Barton Fink . She received other Oscar nominations for Forrest Gump , Road to Perdition and Dreamgirls .

In 2011 she was nominated again for an Oscar for her tenth collaboration with the Coen brothers, True Grit . Another nomination followed in 2017 for Hail, Caesar! . She worked with Jess Gonchor on both productions .
