Barbara Saladin (born August 13, 1976 in Liestal ) is a Swiss author and journalist .

Life

Saladin lives as a freelance journalist , author and copywriter in Hemmiken (Canton Baselland, Switzerland). In the literary field, she mainly writes detective novels . Many of her short thrillers and short stories are represented in anthologies . She was a screenwriter and project manager for the Swiss movie Welthund (2008) . Saladin is a member of the Syndikat , the Murderous Sisters , the PEN Center for German-speaking Switzerland and the AdS . In 2017 she received the Cantonal Bank Prize in the Culture category.
