Barbara Sundermann

Barbara Sundermann (* 1971 ) is a former German basketball player .

career

As a teenager Sundermann played basketball at school, at 18 she joined TSVE Bielefeld , stayed there for two years and then moved to SV Brackwede. As part of her legal clerkship, she came to Bochum , where the 1.89-meter indoor player played with VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga. In 1998 Sundermann moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga BG Rentrop Bonn . She initially stayed there for three years, followed by another Bundesliga station with TV Bensberg from the 2001/02 season , after which she was the determining player under the basket at the second division Union Opladen until autumn 2005, when she resigned due to pregnancy. In 2006 she went back to BG Rentrop Bonn, which has meanwhile been playing in the second division. When the Bonn women voluntarily relegated to the league in 2010, Sundermann joined the Rhöndorfer TV (Regionalliga), where she stayed until 2012. Later she strengthened the SG BG Bonn-Meckenheimer TuS in the upper league.

Sundermann, who had already worked in youth work in Bielefeld, also worked as a trainer in the youth sector at BG Bonn.
