Barbara Timo (born March 10, 1991 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a judoka who competed for Brazil until 2018 , since 2019 she competes for Portugal . In 2019 she was second at the World Championships.

Athletic career

Barbara Timo has been starting in the middleweight division, the weight class up to 70 kilograms, since 2012 . In 2013 she won her first Grand Prix tournament in Tashkent. At the South American Games in 2014, she finished second behind the Colombian Yuri Alvear . At the Pan American Games 2015 in Edmonton, she lost in the semifinals to Yuri Alvear, after which she also lost the fight for a bronze medal against the Cuban Onix Cortés Aldama .
