The Barlau is a tributary of the Luhnau in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein .

The river has a length of approx. 4 km, rises east of the Nienborsteler district Barlohe through the confluence of Helenaue and Rüterbek . It flows into the Luhnau west of Stafstedt near the B77 . Smaller backwaters are Stehweddelbach and Limbrookgraben .
