Barompa Dharma Wangchuk ( Tib . 'Ba' rom pa ma represents dbang phyug * 1127 , † 1198 ) was a Tibetan Buddhist 12th century.

He was one of the four great students of Gampopa and the founder of the Barom Monastery in Tibet (in Nagqu County ) and thus of the Barom Kagyu School ( 'ba' rom bka 'brgyud ), one of the so-called four larger schools of the Kagyu school tradition of Tibetan Buddhism .

His teaching is of great influence in the Tibetan region of Kham , particularly in the monasteries in Nangqên County (Nangchen) of the Yushu Autonomous District of Tibetans in the south of the Chinese province of Qinghai .

One of his students was Tishri Repa Sherab Sengge (1164-1236).
