history

The old pilgrimage route that leads to the Lluc monastery was documented in the 14th century . It is likely, however, that the path existed as a beaten path many years earlier. In the lower area there is another path, the Camí vell , which was used to avoid the high mountains of Mallorca. Centuries ago, olive groves reaching almost to the summit were created in the gorge , where the two paths meander through.
