Barry Jackson (athlete)
Barry Jackson ( Barry Douglas Jackson; born August 22, 1941 in Birmingham ) is a former British sprinter who had specialized in the 400-meter run .
At the Olympic Games in 1960 he was fifth in the British 4 x 400 meter relay.
In 1962 he was at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade fifth over 400 m, where he set up his personal best in the semifinals with 46.5 s, and won silver with the British team in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth , he won silver with the English four-by-440-yard relay and reached the semifinals over 440 yards .
