Barsalogho is both a municipality ( commune rurale in French ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the region of Center-Nord and in the province of Sanmatenga . The municipality has 78,919 inhabitants in 38 villages and five sectors of the main town.
