Bartłomiej Jaszka (born June 16, 1983 in Ostrów Wielkopolski , Poland ) is a Polish handball player . The 1.85 m tall Jaszka, who works as a player-coach for the Polish club MKS Zagłębie Lubin and played for the Polish men's national handball team, is mostly used in the center of the back .
Career
Bartłomiej Jaszka started playing handball at KPR Ostrovia Ostrów Wielkopolski . There he won the Polish Junior Championship in 2002 and then moved to MKS Zagłębie Lubin in the first Polish league. After the runner-up in 2005 and a third place in 2006, he won the Polish championship with the South Poles in 2007 and moved into the group stage of the EHF Champions League . There he drew attention to himself when his team won against SG Flensburg-Handewitt , so that in December 2007 he and his club mate Michał Kubisztal were signed by the German club Füchse Berlin, with whom he won the DHB Cup in 2014 and the EHF Europe in 2015 Cup won.
Bartłomiej Jaszka has made 152 international appearances for the Polish national team. At the 2007 World Cup in Germany , he was only in the extended squad of the Poles. At the 2009 World Cup in Croatia he reached third place with the Polish team. He also took part in the 2011 World Cup in Sweden .
After injuring his right shoulder in May 2014, he was only able to play a few games for his club. Due to the injury, his career finally ended in summer 2016. In the 2016/17 season Jaszka worked as a player-coach at MKS Kalisz. In the summer Jaszka returned to MKS Zagłębie Lubin, where he also works as a player-coach.
He has been the head coach of the Polish national junior team since December 2018.
