Bart Carpentier Alting
Albertus "Bart" Carpentier Alting (born March 12, 1954 in Willemstad , Curaçao , Netherlands Antilles ) is a Dutch luge and bobsled driver . He took part in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics for the Netherlands Antilles .
Career
He qualified in tobogganing and, together with Bart Drechsel, in the two-man bobsleigh for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . By participating, the Netherlands Antilles also took part in the Olympic Winter Games for the first time . In luge he finished 36th and last place, with two starters not finishing the competition. With Bart Drechsel he took 29th place in the two-man bobsleigh competition with a total of 41 starters. Four years later, he and his new pusher Dudley qualified the Dulk in the two-man bobsleigh for the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . 37th place out of a total of 46 starters in the two-man bobsleigh competition.
