Barthélémy Nguyễn Sơn Lâm

Barthélémy Nguyễn Sơn Lâm PSS (born August 13, 1929 in Tùng Chanh, Vietnam ; † June 9, 2003 ) was a Vietnamese religious and bishop of Thanh Hóa .

Life

Barthélémy Nguyễn Sơn Lâm joined the religious community of Sulpizians and received the sacrament of priestly ordination on June 29, 1957 .

In 1975 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Đà Lạt . Archbishop Henri Lemaître , Apostolic Delegate in Vietnam donated him to his episcopal ordination on March 17, 1975 ; Co- consecrators were Paul Nguyên Van Binh , Archbishop of Saigon, and François-Xavier Nguyên Van Thuán , Bishop of Nha Trang.

In 1994 Pope John Paul II appointed him bishop of the diocese of Thanh Hóa . He was also secretary of the Vietnamese Bishops' Conference .
