Barthold Bauert

Barthold Bauert (* 1682 in Lübeck ; † October 3, 1749 ibid) was a German merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Barthold Bauert was the son of the Lübeck businessman of the same name († 1704). He learned the trade in a Danzig trading house from 1698 to 1704. After his father's death, he continued his business in Lübeck. He was a member of the Novgorod drivers' corporation in Lübeck. In 1735 he was elected to the Lübeck council . During his term of office as councilor, the self-completion of the Lübeck council, forced by the citizens, fell in 1739 .
