Alexander Knur

Alexander Knur (born May 28, 1897 , † May 26, 1987 ) was a German lawyer and university professor.

life and work

Alexander Knur studied law and economics at the University of Cologne . He then worked as a lawyer in Trier and since 1931 as a notary in Bad Godesberg . He completed his habilitation in Bonn in 1941 with Karl Rauch with a thesis on family companies and was then appointed lecturer. In 1947 he became an adjunct professor at the University of Bonn . He declined calls for a chair in tax law (1951) and a chair in commercial and civil law (1958). Nevertheless, he later became a full professor at the University of Bonn. His academic focus was corporate and tax law .

On his 75th birthday he was honored with a festschrift . His grave is in the Bad Godesberg Central Cemetery . Since 1920 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Staufia Bonn .
