Viktor Olexandrowytsch Nasarenko ( Ukrainian Віктор Олександрович Назаренко , born March 5, 1956 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR ) is a Ukrainian lieutenant general and head of the State Border Guard of Ukraine.

Nasarenko graduated from the Military College in Lviv in 1977 and studied at the Frunze Military Academy in Moscow from 1983 to 1986 . The doctor of military science then made a career with the Soviet and, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Ukrainian border troops. For the organization of the protection and defense of the island of Tusla in 2003 he was awarded the Bogdan Khmelnitsky Order .

Since October 3, 2014 he has been the Deputy Commander of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and Head of the State Border Guard of Ukraine, succeeding Colonel General Stepan Poltorak , who became Minister of Defense of Ukraine on October 14, 2014.

Viktor Nasarenko is married and has a son and a daughter.
