Bartholomäus Blume († August 8, 1460 in Marienburg ) was mayor there.
Life
In 1457, Blume was mayor of Marienburg and a declared opponent of the Polish supremacy over the city, which arose in the Thirteen Years' War after the order withdrew without a fight . On September 27, 1457, he initiated the overpowering of the Polish occupation in the city, but not that of the castle . After three years of siege , the city surrendered to Danzig on August 6, 1460 . On August 8th, Blume was convicted of a traitor, beheaded and quartered . In 1864, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the transition to Poland, the citizens of Marienburg erected a monument to him.
