The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville is a baseball stadium in Jacksonville , Florida .
The stadium is the home ground of the Jacksonville Suns, who play in the Double-A Southern League . The Suns are linked to the Miami Marlins , who play major league baseball . Since 2015 the home games are here NASL - football franchises Jacksonville Armada held.
The stadium has around 6,000 seats and can be expanded to 11,000 if necessary. On March 25, 2005, the previous record was reached with 17,860 spectators. This was at a game in the Atlantic Coast Conference between Florida State University and the University of North Carolina .

The stadium is located in downtown Jacksonville between the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena and EverBank Field .
history
Construction of the stadium began in December 2001 as part of the Better Jacksonville Plan , a program to improve the city's growth opportunities. Overall, the Jacksonville Baseball Park , the then working title during the construction phase, cost 34 million US dollars. When completed in 2003, it was the first project of the Better Jacksonville Plan to be fully completed.
In addition to the Suns games , the championship games of the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball were played here from 2005 to 2008 .
One of the regular events is the annual game between the Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles university teams .

The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville has 6,000 seats and can be expanded to 11,000. It was built in the style of an older baseball park with classic clinking. There are 12 boxes in the stadium which are located above the field and 4 viewing platforms. There is a large video and points screen. There is also a souvenir shop and a paramedic area.
