The Basilisken-Presse is a specialist publisher for the history of science and in particular the history of biology . It is named after the mythological basilisk . The publishing house was founded in Marburg in 1976 by Armin Geus , professor of medical history , and initially published facsimile prints of hard-to-access and little-known writings in small and numbered editions. Catalogs of modern art and poetry followed . Since 2008, Basilisken-Presse has been affiliated with the Natur + Text publishing house in Brandenburg , based in Rangsdorf near Berlin.
