Basyl Shaqypov

Basyl Schamuqanuly Schaqypow ( Kazakh Базыл Шамұқанұлы Жақыпов , Russian Базыл Шамуханович Жакупов ; born January 5, 1965 in Kasgorodok, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

Basyl Shaqypov was born in 1965 in the village of Kasgorodok (now Terissaqqan, Aqmola region ) in the former Torghai region. He graduated from the Agricultural Institute in Zelinograd with a degree in agricultural sciences in 1991 . In 2006 he graduated from the Academy of Economics and Statistics in Almaty .

After graduating from school, Schaqypow began to work in cattle breeding before doing his military service in the Soviet army between 1983 and 1985 . After graduating from university, he initially worked in the agricultural sector and then became the head of the state-owned agricultural enterprise Wozhod in the Torghai area. From 1996 he was director of the state enterprise Tersakan and from 1998 of the enterprise Solotaja niwa. Between 2000 and 2003, Shaqypov was director of Kuantum.

Schaqypow has been working in the public sector since 2004. His first public service position was as the head of the Agriculture and Food Directorate in the Qarabalyq County Administration in the Qostanai Region . In the same year he also became deputy Akim of Qarabalyq County. In 2008, he became the deputy mayor of Qostanai City, and in February 2009, he was named Äkim of Mengdiqara County, Qostanai Region. He held this office for three years before becoming Deputy Äkim (Governor) of the Qostanai region in February 2012. Since September 23, 2015 he was Äkim (Mayor) of Qostanai City. In February 2019 he resigned from his position as mayor.
