Qairat Akhmetov

Qairat Shumaschuly Akhmetov ( Kazakh Қайрат Жұмашұлы Ахметов , Russian Кайрат Жумашович Ахметов Kairat Shumaschowitsch Akhmetov ; born January 6, 1965 in Tulengut, Kazakh politician , Kazakh SSR ) is a . He has been the mayor of the city of Qostanai since February 1, 2019 .

Life

Qairat Akhmetov was born in 1965 in the village of Tulengut (now Tölenggit) in Kustanai Oblast . He graduated from the Agricultural Institute Zelinograd in 1987 with a degree in agricultural sciences .

After graduating from university, he initially worked for various state farms in what is now the Mengdiqara and Äulieköl districts. In March 2000, he became head of the regional department for the Qostanai region in the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture . In October 2002 he was appointed Äkim of Mengdiqara County. He held this post for around four years before becoming head of the Agriculture Department of the Qostanai Oblast Administration from June 2006. From September 2009 Akim was Akim of Qarasu County and from October 2010 Akim of Feodorov County. After around six years, he became Äkim of Qostanai County in July 2016. After Basyl Shaqypov resigned , he was appointed mayor of the city of Qostanai on February 1, 2019 .
