Batiki ( Greek Μπατίκι or Μπατικί ) is an autochthonous white wine variety that is mainly grown in northern Greece in Thessaly , Macedonia and sporadically in Euboea . In 1999 a planted vineyard area of 65 hectares was raised. Batiki is also considered a good table grape .
Ampelographic varietal characteristics
- The shoot tip is open. It is slightly hairy cobwebs. The red, shiny young leaves are hairless.
- The medium-sized leaves are five-lobed and deeply indented. The stem bay is open in a U-shape. The sheet is serrated to a point. The teeth are closely set compared to other grape varieties.
- The conical to cylindrical grape is medium to large and very dense. The oval berries are large and yellowish-white in color. The crisp, aromatic berries are slightly sweet.
