history

Battery was founded under the name Fury in 1990. In 1991 they released a self-titled 7 "single on Deadlock Records . The sound carrier featured Brian McTernan as singer, Ken Olden and Matt Squire as guitarists, Toshi Yano as bassist and Zac Eller as drummer. The songs on this single were later re-recorded and released on the EP We Won't Fall in 1993. The EP was released on the German label Lost & Found Records .

The band increased their popularity in Europe, especially in Germany. This was followed by changes in the line-up, so that in addition to Brian McTernan and Ken Olden, bassist Ben Chused and drummer Al Rosenberg were now in the band. This was followed by a tour of Europe. Their debut album called Only the Diehard Remain was released in 1994 on Tidal Records (USA) and Lost & Found Records (Europe). The album also featured the 7-Seconds cover We're Gonna Fight . In the song Ken Olden could be heard as guitarist and drummer. In the same year they released the EP Let the Past Go , as well as a split EP with Ignite . Both were released on Lost & Found Records.

In 1996 they released the next album called Until the End , which featured another 7-Seconds cover called Young Till I Die . In addition, the band now had a new drummer, Jason Hamacher , who was also a member of the band Frodus . Ben Chused left the band and played drums in Ten Yard Fight . He was replaced by Graham Land, who was also the guitarist for Better Than a Thousand. This was followed by a major tour through the USA together with Ten Yard Fight and a tour through Europe together with Damnation AD.

Her third album Whatever It Takes was released on Revelation Records in 1998. After the release followed a tour through Europe and the USA together with Better Than a Thousand, In My Eyes and Speak 714 .

After the release, the band split due to differences between Brian McTernan and Ken Olden. In 2002 the compilation album Final Fury: 1990-1997 was released on the Spanish hardcore label Soulforce Records .
