7 Seconds was an American hardcore band from Reno that existed from 1979 to 2018.

history

7 Seconds was founded in 1979 by the brothers Kevin Seconds (actually Kevin Marvelli) and Steve Youth (Steve Marvelli). The band brought positive thinking and straight-edge thinking to the US hardcore scene in the early 1980s . At the end of the 1980s, music became more experimental and increasingly pop. However, this was only rarely supported by the old fans. Shortly after this phase the band turned back to their roots, namely hardcore. The musicians announced the end of the band in March 2018.

reception

7 Seconds were considered the "living legends" of the hardcore scene until they were dissolved. 1999 appeared on the Dutch label Reflection Records a tribute album on which bands like Better Than a Thousand , Good Clean Fun or H2O songs by 7 Seconds coverten .
