Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy metal band founded in Helsinki in 2008 . Her musical style is based on elements of hard rock from the 1980s. The debut album Steel was released in 2011 by the Finnish label Hype-Records in Finland. At the end of 2011, the international publisher Nuclear Blast signed the band and released the debut album (with a changed cover) worldwide on January 27, 2012.
The band won several prizes, including the Wacken Open Air newcomer competition . In 2012, you supported the European and Russian tour for Nightwish's Imaginaerum .
Musical influences
Musical role models are WASP , Manowar , Judas Priest , UDO and Iron Maiden .
In terms of content, many songs such as "Eclipse", "The Black Swordsman" or "Band of the Hawk" refer to the story of the manga or anime " Berserk ", in which Guts, the Black Swordsman, takes revenge for the sacrifice after an eclipse the group of mercenaries who took him in. This group of mercenaries was known as "The Falcons" or "the Band of the Hawk".
Band history
Juuso, Pyry and Anton made music together when they were teenagers. In spring 2008 Nitte Valo joined the band and the first demo songs have already been recorded. After several changes of bassist and keyboardist, Eero Sipilä and Janne Björkroth also joined the band. After they won the Wacken Metal Battle in 2010, they signed their first record deal with the Finnish label Hype Records in autumn 2010.
In August 2012, singer Nitte Valo announced that she was leaving the band so that she could concentrate more on her family life. Noora Louhimo was signed as the successor.
