Baufix is a wooden construction toy made of thin slats with holes, cubes with internal threads and through openings as well as screws, washers and nuts, which was developed by Hans Wammetsberger.

Baufix is ​​aimed at children between the ages of 36 months and six years. All components and tools are made of woods such as maple and beech , some connecting elements are made of plastic in the current version. Non-toxic water-based paints are used for the colors of the wooden parts. The connecting elements can be used universally.

The components are offered in a model box with illustrated assembly instructions, so you can first build the model. The components can also be combined to create any new constructions.

Manufacturer

The original developer and manufacturer of Baufix was Hans Wammetsberger. His “factory for finely polished wooden toys”, which existed from 1900 to 1981, was located in Olching . In 1982 the company was sold to Heinz H. Lorenz AG in Geretsried . Since August 2004, Baufix construction kits have been sold worldwide through the sales partner Stadlbauer Marketing & Vertrieb GmbH in Salzburg . In March 2010, the company filed for bankruptcy ; in autumn 2010 it was taken over by the Simba-Dickie-Group . The company integrated this into HEROS .
