Bavarian State School for the Deaf

The Bavarian State School for the Deaf is a special school for the deaf in Munich . It is the only one in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria . It comprises a primary and secondary school as well as a secondary school with an adjoining student dormitory (53 places in 4 groups) and day care center. A school preparatory facility (= kindergarten) is also connected. In September 2007, the secondary school branch of the special school for the deaf was taken up by the Samuel Heinicke secondary school in Munich in Nymphenburg .

There is also an educational-audiological counseling center for the early detection and educational support of hearing-impaired children.
