The Baykal Point (English; Bulgarian нос Байкал nos Bajkal ) is an 800 m long and mostly icy headland on the west coast of the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It protrudes 2.63 km east-southeast of Driencourt Point , 6.55 km northwest of Mount Parry and 5.4 km north-northeast of Minot Point into the Lanusse Bay .
British scientists mapped them in 1980 and 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2015 after the villages of Bajkal in the north and Bajkalsko in the west of Bulgaria .
