The Beach Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Fleetwood , Lancashire , England . The lighthouse, which is also known as the Lower Light , in combination with the Pharos Lighthouse and the Wyre Light , signals the entrance to the port of Fleetwood through the estuary of the River Wyre, which is marked by sandbanks .

The 13 m high lighthouse was designed by Decimus Burton and Captain Henry Mangles Denham in 1839 and built from sandstone in the classical style . The tower was put into operation on December 1, 1840 .
