Beast in Black is a Metal - band from the Finnish capital Helsinki . Anton Kabanen, who previously played and sang in the band Battle Beast , founded Beast in Black in 2015. As with Battle Beast, the band's name alludes to the anime and manga series Berserk .

history

The band was founded in 2015 by Anton Kabanen when he left the band Battle Beast. After signing a record deal with the Nuclear Blast label , the band's first album was released on November 3rd, 2017, entitled Berserker . The band had their first stage appearance on November 13, 2015 in the opening act of Nightwish .

On February 7, 2018, the band announced that Atte Palokangas would replace drummer Sami Hänninen. In March 2018 it was announced that Beast in Black will appear as a "special guest" at the European concerts of Nightwish's Decades World Tour. In May 2018 the band had several appearances in Japan.

style

Beast in Black belongs to the genres Heavy Metal and Power Metal . In their songs, the band is dedicated to the themes of life , love and the figure of the berserk . As with Battle Beast, the contents of the songs relate to the anime and manga series Berserk . The band was influenced by other bands such as Judas Priest , Manowar , Accept , Black Sabbath , WASP and Sabaton .
