Beate Gruber (born April 6, 1951 in Mittelberg ; born Beate Kessler ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Gruber was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2004 to 2019 .

education and profession

Beate Gruber was born on April 6, 1951 in Mittelberg in Vorarlberg's Kleinwalsertal . She attended elementary school in Hirschegg, a district of Mittelberg, and then the grammar school in Oberstdorf , Germany , where she obtained secondary school leaving certificate in 1967 . From 1967 to 1970 she then worked for a short time in her father's tax consultancy before she started working for a tax consultant in Innsbruck in 1970 and at the same time graduated from the commercial academy for professionals in Innsbruck. In 1974 Beate Gruber graduated from the Innsbruck Commercial Academy . Then she went to the Munich Student Union , where she worked in the department for student grants until 1979.

From 1979 onwards, Beate Gruber was again employed in her father's tax consultancy, this time as a trainee for the profession of tax consultant . In 1985 she passed the tax advisor examination and then briefly managed the firm in partnership with her father before becoming an independent tax advisor in 1986.

She lives in Hirschegg , is married and has one son.

Political career

From 1990 onwards, Beate Gruber became politically active as a substitute member of the community council in her home community for the Vorarlberg People's Party . She has been a member of Mittelberg's municipal council since 1995. In the regional elections in Vorarlberg in 2004 , Beate Gruber ran for the People's Party in the Bregenz electoral district and was sworn in as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament on December 20, 2004. She succeeded as candidate for the state councilor Erich Schwärzler , who had renounced his mandate in the state parliament after the election to the state government.

In the state elections in 2009 , Beate Gruber ran for 12th place on the ÖVP state list and was once again given a state parliament mandate. In the state elections in 2014 , Beate Gruber was re-elected to the state parliament, where she was the area spokesperson for the ÖVP state parliament club for science and further education in the 30th Vorarlberg state parliament . She also acted as chairwoman of the finance committee of the Vorarlberg state parliament.

After the state elections in 2019 , she left the state parliament.
