Beatrice Venezi
Beatrice Venezi (born 1990 in Lucca ) is an Italian conductor , pianist and composer .
Life
Venezi completed piano studies with Norberto Capelli in 2010 and also completed master classes with Andrea Lucchesini , De Maria and Balzani. She then studied orchestral conducting with Vittorio Parisi at the Conservatorium "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milano, and graduated in 2015 with the highest grade 110/110 cum laude . She then continued her studies with Piero Bellugi in Florence, with Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and with John Axelrod, whose assistant she subsequently became.
As an orchestral conductor, she conducts Italian orchestras (Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali Milano, Filarmonica Campana Orchestra, Orchestra Da Camera Fiorentina, Lucca Philharmonic Orchestra, Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti Naples, Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana and others) as well as international orchestras, including the National Radio Company of Ukraine Symphony Orchestra , the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater in Minsk, the Orchestra of the Bulgaria Classic Foundation, Japan Virtuoso Symphony Orchestra, Classical Orchestra of Madeira, Belarusian State Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Georgian State Opera, Orquesta Sinfónica de Córdoba, Toronto Concert Orchestra , the New Japan Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Odessa National Philharmonic Orchestra, and other orchestras.
She received a number of awards, for example in 2015 she was awarded the Premio “Donna 8 marzo” - La Musica per la Vita by the Assami - Associazione Amici del Conservatorio di Milano . In 2018 she was selected by Forbes Italia in the list of 100 Young People Under 30 to become leaders of the future .
Venezi is chief conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Milano Classica and the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti Young and, from 2019 to 2021, a member of the Consulta femminile del Pontificio Consiglio per la Cultura (Women's Council of the Pontifical Cultural Council).
Her conducting work includes both concerts and opera performances. In 2019 she released her first CD with the Orchestra della Toscana on Warner Classics , 'My Journey', which includes symphonic music by Giacomo Puccini .
