Beatrix Kisházi

Beatrix Kisházi (born October 13, 1946 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian table tennis player . The defender has won four European ranking tournaments.

National

At national Hungarian championships Kisházi won numerous victories. She was Hungarian champion in singles four times (1968, 1970, 1975, 1977), in doubles three times (1967 with Sára Máthé, 1968 with Erzsébet Heirits , 1970 with Angéla Papp) and in 1969 in mixed with István Jónyer .

She has won the team championship seventeen times with various clubs:

  • 1968–1970 Statisztika Budapest
  • 1971–1985 (except 1975) Statisztika Petőfi SC
  • 1993/94 Statisztika-Metalloglobus I.

International

European championships

From 1972 to 1982 Kisházi was represented at all six European championships . Here she was most successful in 1972 when she won silver in singles and doubles with the Englishwoman Jill Hammersley and was European champion with the Hungarian women's team. With the team she repeated this success in 1978 and 1982, in 1974 and 1980 it was only enough for second place.

Europe TOP-12

In 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1977 she took first place in the European ranking tournament Europe TOP-12 . In 1974 she was fourth, in 1978 sixth. A four-time title win at this tournament is a record to date (2009).

World championships

From 1967 to 1981 Kisházi was nominated seven times for world championships . In 1973 she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Jill Hammersley . In 1967 she won bronze with the Hungarian team. In 1977 she reached the second round in doubles with the German Wiebke Hendriksen , with whom she won the International French Championships in late 1976 and with whom she had won the International Hungarian Championships in 1964.

Private

Kisházi is married and has two children (* 1975 and 1979).
