The ballad was composed by Diane Warren for Celine Dion's album Falling into You and produced by David Foster . Warren dedicated the song to her father. The title was also used for the US film Up Close, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford .

The single hit the charts worldwide and went to number 1 in the US.

Awards

The song was awarded a Grammy for Best TV / Movie Song in 1997 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Movie Song and the Golden Globe in the same category.
