The cup maker street in the city 's Old Town in Stralsund connects the Ferry Road at the junction of the Schillstraße with Baden Street at the junction of the Jacobiturmstraße . The Semlower road crosses the cup maker street. The Bechermacherstraße is part of the core area of ​​the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar .

The street was first mentioned in a document in 1396. It owes its name to the cup makers . The section between Fährstraße and Semlower Straße was still called Hühnerstraße until 1869 .

There are only two houses in the street. Both buildings are under monument protection (see also the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund ): the houses at Bechermacherstraße 1 and Bechermacherstraße 2 . The house at Semlower Strasse 9 has had its entrance in Bechermacherstrasse since it was renovated between 1959 and 1962.

The former churchyard of the Nikolaikirche with its Latin school borders the street .
