coat of arms

Carl Leonhard Becker 1897: Divided by a blue river. Above in silver on a green background a natural, leafy red rose, below in red a silver pretzel. On a helmet with a red and silver bead and a red and silver blanket is a growing man in a white trimmed red skirt with a red and white feathered black hat, in his right hand the rose, in the left the silver pretzel.

Surname

In addition to "Becker", various artist names were used. The form of the name "Becker-Berke" arose due to a name change for the government director Carl Becker-Berke (1891–1961) and his descendants. Carl Becker-Berke allowed the other namesake Becker-Berke to use the name, after 1980 the widow of Helmar Becker-Berke also took it.

Burial place

The family funeral is in the Old Cemetery in Bonn opposite the grave of Maria Magdalena Beethoven , Ludwig van Beethoven's mother.
