Becoming - My Story (Original title: Becoming ) is an American documentary by Nadia Hallgren about the former First Lady of the USA Michelle Obama from the year 2020. The film is an adaptation of her autobiography of the same name from the year 2018. The documentary is about the life of Michelle Obama, as well as her time after her husband's presidency. It was produced by the Obamas and released worldwide on Netflix on May 6, 2020 .

On the book tour promoting her autobiography, Michelle Obama talks about her childhood and youth, her eight years in the White House and her life afterwards. In doing so, she encourages young people in particular to pursue their dreams.

In May 2018 it was announced that the Obamas had closed a lucrative film deal with Netflix. They should produce films, series and documentaries for Netflix. After the documentary American Factory , which premiered on Sundance on January 25, 2019, it is the Obama's second production.
