action

The film is about the takeover and rebuilding of Fuyao Glass America Inc. by the Chinese company Fuyao Glass Group Industries . The process is shown from the reopening of the plant with political celebrities, through quality and productivity problems to a decision-making process on the introduction of a works council and personnel changes.

reception

On Rotten Tomatoes , the film received positive reviews with an approval rating of 96%. Eric Kohn of IndieWire , a film review editor, wrote, “A fascinating tragic comedy about the incompatibility of American and Chinese industries”.

Others criticize that the film does not necessarily promote mutual understanding between China and America. At the same time, the film is praised as a committed, disturbing and yet entertaining culture clash documentary in the industrial environment.
