Bedřich Tylšar

Bedřich Tylšar (born July 9, 1939 in Vrahovice ) is a Czech horn player and music teacher . He is the brother of Zdeněk Tylšar .

Life

Bedřich Tylšar received his first music lessons at the Prostějov Music School , where he first played trumpet and violin , and later also horn. From 1953 to 1958 he studied horn and violin at the Kroměříž Conservatory ; from 1962 to 1967 at JAMU in Brno with František Šolc .

From 1958 to 1963 Tylšar played with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Gottwaldov Region, today's “Filharmonie Bohuslava Martinů”. From 1963 he was principal horn of the Prague Symphony Orchestra . In 1968, after a successful audition, he moved to the Munich Philharmonic , where he worked for two years; after that he played another year with the Prague Symphony Orchestra. Between 1972 and 2001 Tylšar was a horn player in the Czech Philharmonic .

Tylšar has been a professor at the Prague Conservatory since 1973 , where his students included Radek Baborák , Ondřej Vrabec, Přemysl Vojta and Katerina Javurková. In addition, he gave master classes around the world and was a juror at various music competitions.
