Beda Oskar Bischofberger (born December 17, 1834 in Appenzell ; † November 15, 1926 there ) was a Swiss politician .

Life

Beda Oskar Bischofberger, a member of the Roman Catholic Church, was born on December 17, 1834 as the son of the state ensign , corresponds to the police director, and Reichsvogts Dr. med. Josef Anton Konrad Bischofberger was born in Appenzell. Bischofberger received his school education in Appenzell, St. Gallen and Geneva . During the time of the Neuchâtel trade he was quartermaster of the Innerrhoder half battalion in Thurgau . In 1866 he spoke out against the integration of Appenzell Innerrhoden into the diocese of St. Gallen . In 1868 he was a member of the constitutional commission for the revision of the canton's constitution. During the Franco-Prussian War , he took on responsibility for two Innerrhoder border occupations. In 1871 he was a co-founder of the Appenzell secondary school. At the cantonal level, Bischofberger was a witness from 1866 to 1881, equivalent to military director, as a member of the executive branch of the professional ethics committee.

Beda Oskar Bischofberger, who was married to Antonia Wilhelmina, née Sutter, died in Appenzell on November 15, 1926, one month before he would have turned 92.
