The Beechcraft Model 95 Travel Air is a twin-engine propeller plane made by the American manufacturer Beechcraft .
history
The Beechcraft Travel Air was a twin-engine version of the Beechcraft Bonanza . She received the fuselage of the G-35 Bonanza and the tail unit of the T-34 Mentor. The drive initially consisted of two Lycoming O-360 piston engines. The Baron is an improved version .
The first flight took place in August 1956. FAA approval took place on June 18, 1957, series production began in 1958 and ended in 1968 after 720 copies were shipped.
Some models are still used today as training aircraft , among other things .
Originally Beechcraft had intended the name Badger, but this was abandoned in order to avoid confusion with the NATO name of the Tupolev Tu-16 .

The model is designed as a cantilever low-wing aircraft in all-metal design. Both the two-spar wings, for which the NACA 23000 profile was chosen, and the fuselage are designed in a half-shell construction. The ailerons are simple surfaces, the flaps are slotted. The V-position of the wing is 6 °, the setting angle 4 °. The nose wheel landing gear is electrically retractable. The tail unit is self-supporting and also consists of an aluminum alloy.
In the closed cabin there is space for 4 or 5 people on individual seats. The door to the cabin is on the right side of the fuselage. All discs are made of acrylic . The middle of the three side windows can be thrown off in an emergency. There is a luggage compartment each in the stern and in the bow.
