The city villa Beethovenstraße 55 is located in the Am Wasserturm district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The house was built in 1928. It was entered under No. B 152 on March 28, 1995 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The left half of a building designed as a double residential building with side access is located in the immediate outskirts of the colorful garden . Two-storey erected under a slate hipped roof , the surface of which is broken by two gabled dormers (wave gables) .
The architectural accent of the regularly structured house is a corner tower flanking on the left, three-quarters round with a concave curved conical roof . The horizontal structure of the plastered facade is taken over by a regular row of windows, a plinth, a sill and a protruding eaves . Window designs in different shapes and sizes. To the street view on the ground floor three arched openings, which correspond to four narrower and higher dimensioned openings in the bay window . The windows on the upper floor are smaller and more or less square; the two in the tower rounding formed higher with the same shape.
Except for the ground-floor tower window all with shutters provided. An open Torbogenstellung includes a small garage yard with lying behind garage from the front area of the garden. In front of the building is a deep front garden , which is demarcated from the street by a pillar-structured bar fence and a two-winged garden entrance - also access to the house.
