Confessional (Rockeskyll)
The confessional in the Catholic parish church of St. Bartholomäus in Rockeskyll , a local community in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate , was created in the 18th century. The wooden confessional, which is only 1.60 meters high, is open at the top and the front.
Ernst Wackenroder wrote in 1928:
“The lower halves of the rounded side walls with reliefs in curved, recessed framing and volute bars in front of flat pilasters . The upper side walls, kept in a free curve, are accompanied by deeply worked rococo work , leaving the square grid free in the middle. "
