The Beijing Huguang Guild Hall ( 北京 湖廣會館  /  北京 湖广会馆 , Běijīng Hùguǎng Huìguǎn  - "Bejinger Huguang Assembly Hall") or Beijing Huguang-Huguan is a famous Peking Opera theater ( Jingju ) and a historically important assembly place in Beijing's Xicheng district (hist . Xuanwu ). It is located on "Hufang Lu 3" ( 虎坊路 , Hǔfáng Lù ), at the eastern end of the Luomashi Dajie ( 骡马市 大街 , Luómǎshì Dàjiē ).

The venue was established as a theater in the Jiaqing era of the Qing dynasty in 1807 and was at the height of its fame along with the Peking Opera Zhengyici Theater ( 正 乙 祠 戲樓  /  正 乙 祠 戏楼 , Zhèngyǐcí Xìlóu ) known as one of the “four great theaters” across the capital. Many famous Chinese opera performers from past and present have played here.

On August 25, 1912, the Chinese National Party (Kuomintang, KMT for short) was founded in the guild hall at a congress of the Revolutionary Alliance ( Tongmenghui ) led by Sun Yat-sen and several smaller pro-revolutionary parties. Together they formed the Kuomintang to fight for the Republic of China's first national parliamentary elections . Sun , the republic's interim president at the time, was elected party chairman with Huang Xing as his deputy.

The theater is known for its magnificent interior.
