Beilsteinmühle is a residential area on the Untersontheim suburb of the Obersontheim municipality in the Schwäbisch Hall district in northeastern Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The living space is about half a kilometer northeast of the center of Untersontheim on the left bank of the Bühler , which has cut steeply into the Upper Muschelkalk after the flat section of its eastern loop near Untersontheim . There are five house numbers, including the old grinding mill on the weir, from which an approximately two hundred meter long drainage canal leads down the river close to the left steep slope, a residential house built a little above the mill directly on the left rocky slope and another, newer residential building further down East, plus agricultural outbuildings.

history

In 1425 Ulrich von Schrozberg sold the Beilstein grinding mill to Volkart von Vellberg . In 1595 she came to Hall . In 1847 there were seven residents on site. On July 1, 1971, the Beilsteinmühle was incorporated into Obersontheim with the entire old community of Untersontheim. The grinding mill was still in operation around 1980.

traffic

The place is only accessible by a spur road from the K 2619 Untersontheim– Merkelbach .
