Belle International Holdings Limited is the leading shoe manufacturer, retailer and sportswear retailer in the People's Republic of China . The Hong Kong- based group of companies has been listed in the Hang Seng Commercial & Industrial Index on the Hong Kong stock exchange since September 6, 2010.
The company, which was founded in Hong Kong in 1978, operates 10,315 of its own sales outlets in China as well as nearly 200 sales outlets in Hong Kong and Macau (as of June 2010).
The manufacture and sale of shoes account for 61.8% of sales, with the majority coming from the company's own brands . The distribution of third-party brands as well as the third-party production for other shoe brands account for 5.3% of this.
The distribution of sportswear corresponds to 38.2% of the company's turnover. Belle International has been the exclusive distributor for the adidas and Nike brands in mainland China since 2006 . Belle International generates a third of its total sales with this exclusive partnership. In addition, Belle International sells the brands Kappa , Puma , Converse , Reebok , Mizuno , Li-Ning and other brands, which account for 5.3% of total sales.
