Ben Calvin Hary

Ben Calvin Hary (actually Benjamin Hary; born September 19, 1980 in Saarbrücken ) is a German science fiction author and YouTuber .

Life

After training as a media designer , Hary worked for eight years as an editor and speaker at Saarland Broadcasting , in particular for the youth radio 103.7 UnserDing . He also wrote and produced radio plays ( Held & Jedermann ) and comedy series, for example The fabulous world of wonder, which was also shown on UnserDing. From 2011 to 2018, Hary was an editor at an online news portal for the Saarbrücker Zeitung . Since then he has been working full-time as a software developer in the agency business of the Saarbrücker Zeitung publishing group.

Hary started reading early. At the age of eight he found his first Perry Rhodan novel and from then on the series never let him go. From 2013 to 2017 he was an employee of SOL , the member magazine of Perry Rhodan-FanZentrale eV , where he wrote articles and was responsible for editing and final editing. In 2014, a first fan fiction novel from the Perry Rhodan universe was published as Volume 14 of the Perry Rhodan Fan Editions.

Starting in 2016, Hary wrote novels for the Maddrax series from Bastei Verlag . In 2018, the science fiction novel Koshkin and the Communists from the Cosmos was published by Atlantis Verlag . The Chronos Sphere series for young people has been published there since 2020 .

Hary also wrote and wrote comics, publishes videos on his own YouTube channel and is also the main actor in Perryversum , the Perry-Rhodan's YouTube channel . For the latter, he also contributes editorial content.
