Benedict ("Ben") Martin Paul Mulroney (born March 9, 1976 in Québec ) is a Canadian television presenter . He is the second oldest of four children of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney .

Mulroney is best known as the presenter of the talent show Canadian Idol on the television channel CTV , the Canadian equivalent of Pop Idol and Germany is looking for the superstar . He also moderates the daily entertainment magazine eTalk, also on CTV. He studied law at Université Laval and history at Duke University . He is also a national UNICEF ambassador. Prior to television, he wrote columns for the Toronto Sun newspaper ; this is part of the Quebecor group, whose board of directors is his father.

Mulroneys is one of a group of several children of former prime ministers who became nationally known media personalities around 2000. The others are Catherine Clark (daughter of Joe Clark ) and Justin Trudeau and Alexandre Trudeau (sons of Pierre Trudeau ).
